Here is my purple and magenta flower, that was a challenge and a half to work on...Throughout the process of creating this piece, I made errors that need to be corrected.
And so, I did correct those errors. :)

Here is "Black Tree with Flowers," that I created using a variety of pens on paper. It measures 6 x 8 inches.
I was inspired to create this drawing after seeing numerous red bud trees, which are absolutely gorgeous trees that have flowers growing on their trunks as well as on their branches. Their flowers are a lovely lavender color.

I created this piece using gel and micron pens and india ink pens, on paper.

I spent so much time working on this piece, with the background being most time-consuming...

Pink Flower in Black Background - small drawing

Here is my high-contrast drawing of a pink flower, that looks very much like a daisy.
This was a very time-consuming piece to create.
It was originally much larger in size, but I needed to cut it to its current size, which is 6 x 6.5 inches because the background was taking much too much time to work on. And I honestly didn't feel that a larger black background would be advantageous to the drawing, as a whole.

Painting of Expressive Purple Tree

I began working on this painting a couple of days ago. Work went smoothly on this piece, for the most part, although I did encounter a few challenges.
I am finding this tree to be graceful and liking it for this reason and others.
I created this piece on 300 lb archival paper, using gouache paint and it measures 8 x 10 inches, which is a large size for me!
I have entitled this piece, "Purple Expression."

Psychedelic Red Tree - vibrantly colorful drawing

My red tree is finally finished.
I had been working on it on and off for a couple of weeks..I am satisfied with the resulting drawing.
I think it expresses my inner Hippie.
I created this drawing using gelly roll, micron and india ink pens on 140 lb. acid-free paper. It measures approximately 6 x 6.5 inches.

Small Landscape Painting - 1/2013

Her is my new small painting (in gouache on paper) that measures 3 x 5 inches!
It is certainly small in size. I very often work on a small scale.
This piece was time consuming to create, regardless of its size. There were certain details that I wanted to render in a particular way and so I needed to apply many layers of paint in order to create what I had in mind.
It is always difficult to know when a painting is completed; the smallness of this piece made it easier to "know" when it was completed...
The palette is a cool one.
